nothing like offsetting the joy of christmas with some baby shots the day after ;) gray didn't seem to mind, though. his head dropped from 99th percentile to 95th (whew! haha) & he is 88th percentile in both weight and height. the doctor said gray was very social and smiley for his age. way to schmooze the doctor!

christmas morning is my favorite. mostly because it's ours. the rest of the holidays are crazy and busy and spent with family and friends. but christmas morning is quiet and laid back and just for us. 

i'm not going to lie... while i'm excited for gray to finally "get" christmas, it was nice sleeping in and taking our time. we relaxed, took photos, and just spent time together before things got crazy again. i love my little family. 

also, christmas is so much more fun with kids. even if they don't understand what's going on and are thrilled only by tissue paper. we are so, so blessed.

christmas eve is also my sister-in-law's birthday. so we watched a christmas movie and then sang happy birthday to natalie :)

afterwards we went to village inn. gray was being so weird. any time he looked at jake, he would get a nice smile on his face, like this...

then as soon as he looked over at my dad, he would do this face... it still makes me laugh so hard. he did it all night, and we're not sure why.

okay, i'm doing great at taking a photo every day, i just need to catch up so that i'm actually posting a photo every day :)

a few days before christmas we had the annual christmas bake and the thurman christmas. there were LOTS of kids and LOTS of sugar.
